Candace Fleming
Candace Fleming regards herself as a storyteller. She's been telling stories since before she could read. In fifth grade, she awarded herself the Newbery Medal by scraping the sticker off a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond and attaching it to the cover of her first novel, a ten page, ten chapter mystery, entitled, Who Done It? Candace no longer needs to borrow recognition from other authors. Her many books for young people, including The Lincolns, Amelia Lost, Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!, and Oh, No! have been recognized with numerous honors and awards. To learn more about Candace, visit her website.
